Student Handbook 2026 overview

KNP students are entitled to dignity, fair treatment, learning access, privacy, participation, safety, and due process. Those rights are paired with responsibilities to uphold integrity, respect, safety, and lawful College rules.

Core student rights

  • Academic freedom and reasonable access to learning resources
  • Dignity, equality, non-discrimination, and an inclusive learning environment
  • Lawful expression, peaceful assembly, association, and student participation
  • Privacy, access to appropriate support, notice, and fair process

Core student responsibilities

  • Know and follow lawful, published College policies and academic requirements
  • Submit honest work and represent authorship and evidence accurately
  • Respect the rights, safety, privacy, property, beliefs, and lawful expression of others
  • Use identification, facilities, technology, and institutional resources responsibly

Conduct and due process

The Handbook classifies prohibited conduct and possible sanctions. Reports are handled through notice, an opportunity to respond, impartial review, proportionate action, confidentiality where required, and available appeal procedures.

Safe spaces

Discrimination, bullying, cyberbullying, harassment, stalking, threats, coercion, hazing, retaliation, and violence are prohibited. Students may seek immediate assistance and protective measures through the appropriate College office.
